Cohousing involves many shared amenities and has a notable emphasis on community. This makes it the perfect candidate for BeLooped Groups and Subgroups to organize people, events and services such as maintenance, security, social activities/events, pest control, and more.
In any community, it is likely that one or more people do not own a mobile device or the BeLooped application. These people can still be part of the group as Private or Visible members (managed by the GM or other members), or invited at a later time.
One reason to create subgroups is to create relevant focused Resource tabs.
The Resource tab for the main group may include skills and businesses held by residents, lists of self-help or other interesting organizations. The Resource tab for a specific subgroup such as “Inside maintenance” may include preferred suppliers.
Tip: The Public Note section under each profile is also a great place to describe the skills a Cohousing member may possess and be willing to contribute.
News articles can be used for clear and frequent communication.
In a Cohousing group, that may include upcoming events, important announcements such as achievements by residents, items being sought or that have become available, newsletter content and more.
Tip: Creating subgroups is great for reducing “news noise” and keeping content relevant to the reader.
